Your proposal is based on the deliverable, number of trees, and any specialized services the assignment actually requires. You will know the agreed scope and fee before work begins.

These fixed starting fees cover the primary service. Inventory, mapping, plan review, or other specialized scope is added only when needed.
On-Site Consultation
$275
Includes routine local travel and up to one hour on site for observation, discussion, and practical recommendations. No written report, map, or inventory is included.
Basic Tree Condition Report
$475
A focused report, typically one or two pages, for a straightforward tree condition or removal question. Includes the site visit and concise written findings. No map or tree inventory is included.
Formal Arborist Report
Starting at $650
Formal written analysis for permitting, development, risk, construction, or other assignments requiring greater detail. Inventory, mapping, plan review, and agency-specific work are priced separately.
Routine local travel is included. Remote or out-of-area travel is quoted in advance as a clear project allowance.
Scope additions
Measurable work is priced in clear tiers.
The tree count is based on trees assessed in the field, including trees later omitted because project plans or disturbance limits change.
One project map showing agreed tree locations and relevant site information.
Organized, labeled photographic documentation of individual trees, site conditions, defects, construction impacts, or other relevant observations. Pricing increases with the amount of documentation required.
Preparation, conversion, or georeferencing of client-provided plans and spatial data when needed for field navigation, tree mapping, or project analysis. Extensive preparation is quoted based on project scope.
When the scope changes
A change in the project creates a clear change in the fee.
More trees or a larger area
The inventory moves to the applicable tier. You pay the difference between the original and expanded tier.
Plans or analysis must be revised
Revisions requested by the client, designer, or agency are billed at $200 per hour with a one-hour minimum.
Corrections to our work
Clarifications and corrections of an Insight Arbor error are included at no additional charge.
That is how the proposal is built. Hourly billing is reserved for material revisions and other work that cannot be reasonably fixed in advance.
